lyrics

TWO BIRDS & A STONE

TWO BIRDS AND A STONE ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION
OF THE NEWS AHEAD THEY SAY, THEY HEAR A WHISPER
FAR AND WIDE
WITH NO END IN SIGHT
A TALE WILL COME TO RISE
NEVER SHORT OF A RHYME
LIFE GOES ON…

A MAN TALKS TO THE WIND, HIS WORDS LOST IN TRANSLATION
SOMEONE TRIES TO FLY ON THE WINGS OF EXPECTATION
NEVER MIND
IF NO-ONE EVER FINDS
WHAT THEY HAD TO SAY
WHAT HID WITHIN THE MAZE
OF THEIR THOUGHTS

ONE DOES REALIZE
HOW DEEP RUNS THE PLAY
(SO THE RIVER SNAKES)
THE COURSE WILL NEVER LIE
SO WHY SPEED AHEAD
TO THAT TROUBLED FATE

A TRAIN LEAVES THE TOWN, SOMEONE WAS TOO LATE
WHAT SHOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED HAS COME INTO PLAY
NO GUIDELINE
CAN TRULY DEFINE
THE ROAD OF THE MIND
THE BLIND LEADS THE BLIND
LIFE GOES ON…

FULL OF CONTRADICTIONS, A MOUTH FULL OF SHINE
HARD TO GAUGE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN TRUTH AND LIE
TWO BIRDS FLY
ANOTHER YEAR’S GONE BY
THE STONE DOESN’T MIND
THE STILLNESS OF TIME
SO THEY SAY…

ONE DOES REALIZE
HOW DEEP RUNS THE PLAY
(SO THE RIVER SNAKES)
THE COURSE WILL NEVER LIE
SO WHY SPEED AHEAD
TO THAT TROUBLED FATE
