lyrics

IT’S NOT FOR ME TO SAY

OF HEAVEN
I DO NOT HEAR THE TRUTH THROUGH THOSE WHO
SPEAK OF GOD AND FAITH
OF HELL
I DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE WHAT I SEE
INTO THIS CROWDED PLACE

IT’S NOT FOR ME TO SAY
FOR I DO NOT KNOW THE WAY

OF YOU
I CANNOT DREAM OF CATCHING UP WITH
ALL OF THESE CRAZY SELVES
OF HERE
I DO NOT SENSE A COMPLETE FIRMNESS
UNDER THOSE WORN OUT SHOES

IT’S NOT FOR ME TO SAY
FOR I DO NOT KNOW THE WAY

EVER REALIZED WHAT IT TAKES TO BE FAVOURED
BY THE ONES WHO DICTATE THE DEATH OF OTHERS
BY THE CHEATERS AND THE LIARS OF THIS WORLD

OF JOY
I DO KNOW WHAT IT’S GEARED TO BE ON
SOME SORT COSMIC PLANE
OF PAIN
ONE NEEDS TO SIMPLY LOOK AROUND INTO
ALL OF THESE SUNKEN EYES

IT’S NOT FOR ME TO SAY
FOR I DO NOT KNOW THE WAY

EVER FANTASIZED ‘BOUT A SPACE FREE OF GUILT AND ANGER
ABOUT A RACE BORN TO SHARE THE FRUIT OF LABOR
ABOUT NO LEADERSHIP TO PROTECT THE WEALTH OF ROBBERS

OF LOVE
I KNOW WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE LEFT WITH A BROKEN HEART
OF DEATH
I’VE SEEN SOME DEAR FRIENDS COME AND THEN GO
ON TO BECOME THE PAST

IT’S NOT FOR ME TO SAY
FOR I DO NOT KNOW THE WAY
