Up and down rollercoaster-like
We straddle a fine line near the edge
We appoint to the highest tower
With sickening exactitude
A king with a pea instead of a brain

Harder for the collapse to be felt

And so we cringe at the straight-faced liars
Open greed as daily feed
We choose instead to look the other way
Too busy with the daily beat
To survive or recklessly buy
DC feels like a million miles away
We sit down in that broken chair
Careful not to move any air
Waiting for the news to turn
For someone to handle the dirty work

To taste the torture
And live the loss of dearest ones
To work days and nights
On consequences of corporate lies

Some prophesy the Lord’s return
While cheating the system
And while sinning their lives into freefall
The answer shall be in the prayers
Of those who still walk tall and proud
Even though they may have lost it all

She was a lonely girl
Now that she’s gone
Everyone misses her saddened eyes
